iPhone 5se & iPad Air 3 Set To Launch In March

iPhone 5se

Apple is widely known for keeping its products and other details a well-kept secret but when it comes to the most sold smartphone in the world and one of the best tablets in the world, secrets do spill out. Yes, you guessed it right. Smartphone manufacturing giant Apple is back in news again with two new devices: the iPhone 5se and the iPad Air 3.

The iPhone 5se and the latest iPad Air 3 are all set to be unveiled by Apple in an unveiling event scheduled for 21st March. Though Apple has not confirmed the event, neither denied it the event is almost sure to happen. Both the devices are expected to go on sales shortly after that, from 24th March. Interestingly, this time Apple has decided not to go with the pre-bookings if sources are to be believed. Otherwise, pre-bookings typically start about a month or two in advance.

iPhone 5se

The iPhone 5se will not be another typical successor in the iPhone family as this time Apple has decided to decrease the size of a new smartphone rather than increasing it. That’s right. The iPhone 5se will be sized at 4-inch, which is smaller by today’s standards but comparing the sales figures of the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 6s, it is pretty evident that people liked smaller iPhones more. However, the smaller size doesn’t mean less or downgraded features.

The 5se will feature an 8 MP camera on the back with a 1.2 MP snapper on the front much like its predecessor iPhone 6. The two will also share the same A9 chipset paired with 1 GB of RAM. The 5se will also feature TouchID ad NFC to allow for payments using Apple Pay. It is expected to look like the iPhone 5s on the outside but work like the iPhone 6. The iPhone 5se will be available in space grey, gold, silver and pink colors. A good time to sell iPhone and save money to buy the iPhone 5se if you’ve wanted a small but powerful iPhone would be now.

The iPad Air 3 on the other hand is the successor to the iPad Air 2. The upgrades on the iPad Air 3 include an updated camera, updated A9 chipset possibly the A9X, a rear flash and the most important of them all: support for Apple accessories. This means that the iPad Air 3 could be the first iPad after iPad Pro to offer support for the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard.
